I hate Expectations

I don't own this...I took this from google.com.
Expectations...the word gives me an image of this old frail grandmother leaning forward with large bulgy eyes and spectacles that fall off a crooked long nose. Ugly. And that's exactly how expectations are  - ugly.

Well to see it from the perspective of someone expecting or the grandmother, it may seem as an enjoyable experience - in the beginning. It may look like something that excites, that tempts, that makes you impatient and so much more, well I am not very keen on finding adjectives for it >yawn<, we all know how it feels to expect.

But what happens afterwords? Isn't there always disappointment to follow expectation and those moments of glory? After every war, there is defeat So the entire expectation feeling just doesn't go well with me any more. Not after these many years of expecting and hardly ever those expectations being fulfilled.

Sometimes it's difficult not to expect...but after all it's the same circle again and again..

On the positive side, at times you get something better than what you expect...but that's not always and those times are very rare.

Expectations might never come true...or they might ...or they might be something better...but at the end why expect? Shouldn't you save the joy for the last moment and be happy with what you get or what happens? Why race your mind to something that is not and may never be?Instead just be patient and wait till the time comes and feel the joy at the end...

True this is easier said than done...but honestly after all these years and years of hopeless and pointless expectations one can say that GIVE UP ON EXPECTATIONS
