Its a Disney Cycle. History repeating.

Disney girls have taken three paths since being "disney stars" and "child celebrities". Each of these routes have worked individually for these artists, and they've all achieved major success at different levels.

And despite being different, one of these methods comes out on top. There's the legend who paved the path and now there's history repeating itself.

1. Britney Spears, after her teenage stint in "Mickey Mouse club house, Britney at 17 became the it girl, oozing sex appeal not even older women dared.

Channelling her today is Miley Cyrus. The former Hannah Montana star is now "twerking" it off with tongues and hammers.

2. The Vocalist - Christina Aguilera, true Xtina was a Disney Star and is as much a sex icon as Britney, she's more known for her powerhouse vocals than her sexual thrills. And when she was actually trying to upstage Britney in being a sex icon, she wasn't exactly on top of the world. Only when she started belting out those notes instead of those boobs did she make her mark.

And channelling her is today's powerhouse vocalist Demi Lovato. Both of them judge reality shows (for more than one season), both of them have powerful voices and ever changing body shapes, while both of them advocate being curvy over skinny.

And the 3rd. Though not a legend, Hilary Duff paved the way (much after the original Disney Divas ruling the world) for the "good girl" star. Though controversial and sexy Hilary Duff never went out of her good girl image and pretty much stuck to being "Lizzie McGuire". She had success and was loved by EVERYONE. No harm right?

Some may even say she was a pointless star, who made music for the sake of it, well, she's admitted of doing that in the past, so nothing really. But a good girl all the same.

And channelling her in today's crop of Disney princesses is Selena Gomez. She's the ultimate good girl, talking about her role models and best friends, and making songs that are pretty much irrelevant + dance oriented and sales targeted and sound alarmingly similar to Hilary herself.


And when all those are considered, we can figure the other girls are going or will go. Its clear that amongst the three legends, Britney is the biggest star. Christina may have more awards and vocal chops, but Britney Spears rules the world even today. Xtina had two consecutive failed albums and Brit Brit, even after her melt down scored No.1 singles. And Hilary is pretty much irrelevant now. So we definitely know who the clear winner is and how much the shelf life of each of  these new divas will be.

No wonder Miley wants to go the Britney way, and its ok if she does. None of any one else's business anyway. Not everyone has to be a short-lived rich celebrity just for being good.

Irrespective. I love all the three legends and I pretty much like the new bunch of girls as well. But, its the original three that actually matter. And even if they may or may not have a long shelf life, they're amazing.

Leave Miley Cyrus alone, she's gonna rule over you pretty soon.
